4K a year 21 hours ago 21 hours ago 21 hours ago The Coordinator for Diversity Recruitment & Access will join a collaborative Admissions team responsible for representing Hilbert College through various recruitment activities and participating in the selection of candidates for the entering class.
Work closely with the Dean of Admission & Financial Aid to coordinate efforts to enhance the representation of students of color, low-income, first-generation, and other historically underrepresented students on campus, particularly those students eligible for Admission under one of Hilbert's three opportunity programs.
These include the Arthur O.
Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), the Assisi Scholars Program, and the Say Yes to Education Program.
This work will involve facilitating and maintaining relationships with college access organizations and travel to high schools or colleges across the state of New York and in the surrounding regions.
Work with the admissions team to advocate for the College's Franciscan mission and celebrate the richness that comes from a diverse campus of individuals from many faiths and cultures with an emphasis on service to our community, and to be a voice for social justice in the world.
Represent Hilbert to diverse audiences in high schools, at college fair programs, on campus, and through phone and text outreach.
Manage a recruitment territory; four to six weeks of fall travel and one to two weeks of spring/summer travel.
Maintain relationships with secondary school officials, community-based and college-access organizations, and partnership programs on behalf of Hilbert.
Correspond with prospective students and their families, assisting families in the application and financial aid processes.
Utilize CRM to monitor communication and application review among team of recruiters.
Organize and participate in a range of admission recruitment events including college access workshops, Open Houses, and daily visitation.
Assist the Office of mission Integration and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts through participation in on campus peer mentorship programs.
Flexibility for travel as necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively with group and work as part of a team.

Sound judgment, tact, courtesy, and dependability.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Familiarity with all campus services, policies, regulations.
Bachelor's degree required.
Valid Driver's license.
Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
Bilingual candidates preferred but not required.
Job Type:
Full-time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
